Registration will be done through Sports Engine. PLEASE be certain that you include an email address that you check often in your account/registration. FOB cannot “add” email addresses to individual accounts. This will ensure you receive communication throughout the year that is generated through the system.

Registration Deadlines

For the 2024 baseball season, registration for all players will be open through Dec. 15, 2023.

For upper age groups (14u +), late registrations will not be accepted except for players that move to Brookings after the deadline. Note: The 14U age division includes the Bombers Red 13U team and the Bombers White 13U/14U team.

Third through six grade athletes registering for travel baseball must complete registration by Dec. 15, 2023. Travel baseball players must also register for in-house league.

Travel Baseball Policies

Third through sixth grade athletes who do not meet the Dec. 15, 2023 deadline may register for in-house majors and minors only between Dec. 16, 2023 and April 15, 2024. Those who register during that window will be charged an additional $50. 

First and second grade athletes registering for Juniors will be accepted until April 15, 2024 with no additional charge.

Eligibility Requirements

For your player to be eligible to participate in baseball, the following requirements must be met:

• On-line registration and forms complete. Note: Unlike last year the liability waiver, code of conduct, and points and participation forms will be completed online. You will need to turn in your points deposit check (more information below).
• Registration must be paid in full or in a payment plan.
• Your 2024 volunteer point deposit check is turned in and dated Oct. 1, 2024. You may turn the volunteer deposit into FOB age director board member or at an upcoming board meeting, notice will be provided later.
• You may mail your check to: Brookings Friends of Baseball, PO Box 536, Brookings, S.D. 57006. Note: You will not receive confirmation that your check was received if it is mailed. If it does not arrive, it will be considered not mailed and your player will not be eligible until one is received.

2023 Points Update (IMPORTANT): End-of-year point tallies were publicized on the Brookings Friends of Baseball website at the end of the summer season. For those whose points commitments were not completed, your checks will be cashed before October 15th. Any refund for points earned will occur after.

If your family did not provide a points deposit check and did not complete the required volunteer points commitment, your player will not be allowed to play in games until the current year's deposit check has been received and the previous year's volunteer points balance has been paid.

Summer Jersey's - Players from 13U through Senior Legion will have the opportunity to purchase their jersey for the summer season. Coaches will work to assign numbers and player's last names may be included if it does not delay shipment.

Winter Workouts - Opportunities for winter workouts will exist for athletes participating in 13U through senior legion. Each age group will have specific days and times the indoor facility will be available based on their summer team placement. Those times will be communicated at a later date, but every effort will be made for evening and weekend workouts.

The cost for winter workouts are included in the fees for juniors (9U & 10U), minors (11U), majors (12U) registration fees. The cost for 13U through senior legion will be $175 . Workouts will begin around Jan. 1, 2023.
